Earlier this week I had the pleasure of photographing an in-home newborn session! It happened to be my first photo session since March because photographers in Ontario were officially given the OK to resume work during the pandemic. While I was so excited to get back to shooting again, I have to admit it was really weird to show up wearing a medical mask and hand sanitizer in my pocket.

I met Sarah years ago when I worked for the federal government. We were cubicle neighbours and we hit it off pretty much right away! When Sarah and Colin were expecting their firstborn, they invited me into their BEAUTIFUL home to take maternity photos, and then newborn photos for baby #1. When Sarah messaged me a few months ago to tell me they were expecting baby #2 I was so excited to be able to come back. Seeing their family grow and evolve is honestly one of the best parts of my job!

Emile was a champ during his first photo session! As you can see, he was wide awake and so alert the whole time. Adorable!

I love this shot of big bro reaching out with such excitement to hold his baby brother!
